  1. Pastors: thank you for your input on this passage. Our Lesson 3 Writer, Davey Gibson (Master of Divinity-Truett Seminary) describes Mary’s and Zacharias’s Songs as the Magnificat and Benedictus respectively. He goes on to say: “Today we might describe what both Mary and Zacharias are doing as preaching – orally declaring God’s truth”. Can you help (me), and maybe (us) with this statement? Thank you.

  2. My thoughts, regarding the raising of children.
Both Jesus and John were lead away from their parents at very young ages. Jesus to the synagogue and John to the desert. I wonder, could I wrap my head around my young child leaving home and being taught by “the Holy Spirit”!
    Philippians 4:6-7:
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
This verse was brought to mind while listening to today’s reverse.
