Re:Verse passage – Galatians 2:11-21 (day one)
Join us as Senior Pastor Chris Johnson, Associate Pastor Aaron Hufty, and Associate Pastor Bryan Richardson walk us through Galatians 2:11-21 in our Fall Re:Verse Series: “Galatians – Jesus Sets Us Free.”
I pray daily for a teachable heart. A heart so tuned to The Lord , so framed to listed, that when discord or disagreement happens, my go-to reaction will be from a soft heart. I fail miserably. So thankful God doesn’t give up on me.
Thank you for reminding us of how vulnerable we all are to slip into our old ways as Peter did. We need to be on our guard all the time, open to honest criticisms and correction with grace.
You reminded me of that beautiful hymn CHRIST Alone.
Not long before her death I was visiting with Mauriece Johnston. I had made a remark about a plaque on her wall, which was an award from Baylor University. She told me about a time when there was much conflict within the Baylor Board of Regents and she was asked to give a presentation at a Board meeting. She had prayed about her presentation and how it would be received because of the conflict. Her words of wisdom to me were these: “Dawn, it is okay to disagree as long as you do so with conviction and respect.” What a dear servant she was; we were blessed to know and love her.
