I love how God has forever paired these two women. You have Deborah, of great cultural standing, who’s trying to play second fiddle but must instead hold Barak’s hand, vs. Jael, a mere housewife, to whom God gives the opportunity to do what 10,000 men on the battlefield couldn’t! It’s a wonderful juxtaposition of the MANY roles God calls His daughters to fill. And the strength and humility required in all of them.
And I’d love to hear y’all discuss gender politics any day!
