  2. Well said to all!
    I like how Paul takes action that he is confident will later bring him encouragement. I think most if us sit back and wait for encouragement to come our direction, but he has the foresight to put things in place to bring himself encouragement later down the road. I might have to try that today.
    Wow, the thought that God would pass over using me because I might be lumped in with those who “seek after their own interests & not those of Christ Jesus”. Chilling.
    Bryan, you are expanding my vocabulary with “ sycophantic”. Had to look that one up. Cheers!

  3. Your discussion reminded me of a question I came across in my reading yesterday: “Who do you look down on?” I guess that could be rephrased: “Who do you find ‘common’ in your life.” We are not a classless society, even in the church. Sit back and watch.
