  1. What question came to me from this verse? How are we like Paul, and who is Paul (in our present or past) to us? We must pray for…. so that from this day forward the work of …… my it be for the glory and praise of God.

  2. Pastor Aaron, thank you so much for your initial thoughts on this week’s verses. When I first read them, I was thinking, “Gee, this sure is a lot of flowery comments.” However, when I heard your perspective, it made me see the words in a whole new light. I could grasp the tender, loving care and sincere appreciation Paul was expressing to the people.

On a separate note, Pastor Chris also mentioned ‘flowery’ letters (which amused me, because that was the term that had come to my mind earlier). Just my thoughts…. Obviously, people have different personalities. Thus, some express themselves with flowery words, others with a lot of words, and some with both. Still others are succinct and “just the facts, ma’am.” I think people respond more to the SINCERITY they sense than to the choice of verbiage. I know I do. I think sincerity is much more important. 🙂 (Aside from when you 3 are obviously teasing or joking, all of you are very sincere, caring individuals. Thank you so much for all you do!)
