  1. This for me was a very sobering look at King Nebuchadnezar.
He seems to give lip service to God when Daniel reveals his dream yet his heart is far away from God as he creates his own image to be worshipped.
Romans 10 refers to Israel in the same manner: “For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they, being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.”

  2. We all have our “furnances”. God has been with me through each one. He didn’t take me out of the furnace, but He got me through it. His presnce was/is real. Prayers were answered being answered. Praise God!

  3. Yes today is Tuesday and I am playing catch up.
I think a one of our furnaces in life is now – with the outbreak of CORVID-19 and to some extent the hysteria that has come with it, it is hard to not give in to all of the hype, be vigilant with our health and still know that we are not in control. Only God knows the outcome, only he is in control and we need to be more like these young men Daniel, Shadrak, Meyshak, and Abed-Nego and walk with a stronger faith. Seek God in prayer and turn it all over to Him. When we truly do this a great burden is lifted.
