Scalable

Re:Verse reading–2 Corinthians 5:11-21 (day three)

“From now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view.”  Did Jesus “network”?  Did the fledgling church scrape by without the ubiquitous pseudo-invitation “Let’s do lunch?”  Such pursuits can easily become a way to use people to serve an agenda.  We often insist on fueling a worldwide missional movement on ideas and vision, but Jesus taught us that our presence with each other is the church’s strength.  Jesus said, “By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”  This isn’t putting up with each other on the way to the dream.  It’s dreaming of living with one another.  The next time you wonder what God’s will is for your life, consider that you are God’s will for your brother’s life—and then act accordingly.

  1. The topic of “scalable” reminds me of this phrase, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall.” Success depends on unity; failure comes from divisions. Teamwork makes the dream works, as together we can achieve big things, can tackle difficult tasks, move impossible tasks to possible or achievable tasks that no single person can achieve or do by standing alone.

We see the phrase, United We Stand, Divided We Fall, in many different kinds of mottos; but most often, the phrase is used to highlight the importance of unity. Unity is strength! Being able to stand and work together with those who are different (diversity) from us is strength! Being able to stick and love for one another (friendship love) so to achieve a common purpose or a high goal or to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ is strength.

As believers in Christ, for the sake of Christ, in my view, it is crucial for us to overcome any perceived differences that we have with one another or with those around us so we can stand and work together effectively to achieve the mission of Jesus Christ. Unity in order to complete a mission is of great value in every walk of life and work. Teamwork is strength!

Good reminder, “Jesus taught us that our presence with each other is the church’s strength.” Success in any mission depends on unity; failure comes from divisions. United we stand, divided we fall! We will always remember what Jesus taught us, His believers! Unity is the church’s strength! Reach for this unity goal in our walk with God!!
