Moment

Re: Verse reading–John 13:1-17 (day three)

“He…began to wash his disciples’ feet.”  Jesus did not perform this act of service as an object lesson in order to show his disciples how to serve, though it surely did accomplish that.  He did not do this in order to put them in a state of awe that their master would be so gracious as to stoop to such a lowly function, though it did strike them with wonder. But here’s why this event occurred the way it did: Jesus saw an opportunity to love them, and he took it. And then he told them: When you see a moment in which you can love one another, seize it.

  1. I could not agree more, “Jesus saw an opportunity to love them, and he took it. And then he told them: When you see a moment in which you can love one another, seize it.” Loving one another for Christ’s sake do not require materials. A loving and caring heart can move mountains and can help minimize, if not eliminate, all life barriers and conflicts that money cannot buy. Showing loving and caring attitude and concerns for others is an attribute of a servant leader! Jesus is a servant leader. Thanks for the blog. Great reminder!

  2. Sharing with fellow FBCSA readers about a post from Mary Stewart, President of Mary Stewart Consulting!

“Dear friends, When we take the time to tune into the highest frequency of Love we go beyond the mind, we discover what is deeper than our thoughts and emotions, we enter into an infinite source of Love. Right at the inner core of our being is the essence of what we know as “love.” Once that Love is discovered within, the meaning and purpose of life is immediately obvious. Suddenly everything makes sense, suddenly everything feels complete. We suddenly realize what it means to love your neighbor as yourself. God has blessed us all with this kind of understanding of His ultimate love.”–Mary Stewart on LinkedIn

What does LOVE mean to you??
