I enjoyed your comments about the way David raised his sons. Correcting our children at the right moment is important.
I’m wondering about the way David was treated by his father. He was left in the pasture guarding the sheep while his brothers went to Samuel’s home for his sacrifice to the God. David’s father didn’t even use his name when asked if there was another son.
Maybe David didn’t get the same attention his brothers received from his father. David loved his sons so much he couldn’t bear to discipline them.
