Bryan’s right–we get stuck in the usual meaning of “the end” as the cessation of something. But remember (just don’t practice!) the Machiavellian statement “the end justifies the means.” There, “the end” is the reason, the objective, the point of it all. And Jesus is certainly that!
Good points all around. I heard Bryan’s question and I think I heard Aaron’s. I heard Bryan’s points and I believe I heard Aaron’s. However, I look forward to a VLOG where Chris’s points are as unique and distinct as the other two’s.
This is a very vague passage, pointing out blurry details that people through the ages have tried hard to point to events and figures, such as the priest who is destroyed, etcetera. I sure would like to hear thoughts on where all the numbers line up, because no matter how often I read this passage, I struggle with what numbers go where. And the last of it that seems to usher in the age of the Christian Church almost presents itself. Sort of. I feel I continue to inch further each time.
