Re:Verse passage – Luke 13:1-9 (day one)
Join us as Senior Pastor Chris Johnson, Associate Pastor Aaron Hufty, and Associate Pastor Bryan Richardson walk us through Luke 13:1-9 in our Winter Re:Verse Series: “LUKE – Learning from the parables of Jesus.”
Another enjoyable and interesting visit! Thanks, so much, for allowing us to share.
I agree with Aaron, the key (a key?) to this parable is the tending to the fig tree. As caretakers of His world, we have a duty to “tend to” the lost whom God points out to us (those He brings across our paths). A proper response is to request to be used to restore the non-producing creation. And like this vinedresser, my prayer should be for a re-evaluation of the creation after I have poured into it. Am I making that request, and am I actively working toward restoration if given the opportunity?
