Re:Verse passage – 1 Chronicles 28:1-10 (day one)
Join us as Senior Pastor Chris Johnson, Associate Pastor Aaron Hufty and Associate Pastor Bryan Richardson walk us through 1 Chronicles 28:1-10 in our NEW Spring Sermon Series: “SOLOMON” Building A Place of Worship.
Speaking of legacy, we wonder what First Baptist looked like 100 years ago. There was a great flood in Sept of that year. Was the Church damaged? Just thinking…..
Good Day John and Lynette!
We actually do have “History Books” at the church that you can view in the Theological library or purchase for your home library. They are called “In the Shadow of His Hands,” and come in 3 volumes. 1861-1961, 1961-1981 and 1981-2001. On page 70 of Volume 1 is does describe “The Flood of 1921” and how FBCSA was affected.
Thanks for pointing John and Lynette to “the purple books”! And I appreciate Aaron’s shout-out fir the 160 Blessings Project this year!
Bryan, I love your comment, “The long now.” What are we doing as a church now in the building of His Kingdom through worship, prayer and service to others that will affect generations to come?
A great thought to ponder.

Death of a vision is really tough. David handled it the way we all should, with hope and God first.
