Re:Verse passage – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-6 (day one)
Join us as Senior Pastor Chris Johnson, Associate Pastor Aaron Hufty and Associate Pastor Bryan Richardson walk us through 1 Thessalonians 1:2-6 in our Summer Sermon Series: “Living in the Spirit” a study of the Holy Spirit.
Bryan, your question reminded me a scene from the movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. At the climax of the movie, Fred Rogers, portrayed by Tom Hanks, asks the main character to stop, take a minute and think of all of the people who helped him to get that point. That powerful scene changed the dynamic of the main character after that point. I think it can do much the same for us if we would let it.
So many people have influenced my life including the 3 of you.
Definitely the 3 of you have influenced me over the past year listening to your blog here.
I am so happy to see how close you are to each other & to see the humor you enjoy, poking fun at each other, esp Bryan, as you begin each week’s segment, but then when you get serious about the verse for the week, how you can share what each means to each of you.
Thank the Lord He brought the 3 of you as well as all the ministers & staff together at FBCSA & also thanks to Don Guthrie for being so instrumental in seeking like-minded men to lead the church.
God is so Good.
