WOW! I always look forward to Monday morning discussions, but this Monday you hit it out of the park. You gave me so much to reflect upon as I go through this week. Thank you! I miss my FBCSA family, but continue to pray for you and worship with you through Re:Verse.
A very sober conversation, indeed. How do we drag the name of God through the mud with our words, implications, and actions?
“Names have weight.” When you said that Aaron, it brought me immediately to the weight of God’s Name. Do I embrace the weight of God’s Name or do I deem His Name as somewhat empty or useless. Embracing the weight of His Name moves me to reverence who He is and all he has created which includes all human kind and all else. And then to realize that because of what He has done through Jesus, He sees us who believe as His adopted son’s and daughters who now are invited to cry out His Name “ABBA Father”.
Oh the weight of His Name!
That one short phrase continues to bless me. Thank you!
