In a few hours, it will be our privilege to gather around the Word of God. My joy for the morning will be to teach 2 Corinthians 2:11, “We do this so that we may not be outwitted by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.” The greek language makes this sentence even clearer. It reads “agnoeo noema”, two forms of the same word (note “noe” in both). We “know what Satan knows” and how he uses it against us. Sometimes people get discouraged re. membership and participation in a church. It can be a hassle. There is a sinister explanation. Satan works hard to make church hard because he knows the spiritual values at stake. I hope you will be in your place this morning. I hope your head and your heart will be open to a new word from the Lord. It is a privilege to be in this fight with you! I love you guys. Don
Just wanted you to know how very much I enjoy your Televised Sunday morning Services. Unfortunately I cannot come to San Antonio to attend your services in person. I live in Seguin and the drive is too far for me, however, I do attend every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM right here in my living room. My Grandfather, H. B. Allen was a member of your church many years ago when Buckner Fanning was the pastor there…So I am familar with your church. Sometimes it seems as though your messages were meant just for me. In other words God must be speaking straight to me but useing your words and your voice to give me the message he wants me to hear. Pastor Don I thank you for your televised sermons and for your service to God. You are truly a blessing to the ministry of First Baptist Church and to all of us in your congregation rather it be in person or on television, again Thank You and may God bless you and your family….
Sincerely,
Emma Kessler
